Our Purpose

This is what we do

We're not a clinic. We're a fundraising foundation. Local events and sponsors raise the money. Children's Mercy and our partner programs deliver the care. Then we tell you, by project and by year, what got funded and what changed for Kansas City kids.

We are deeply grateful to the Fore the Kids Foundation for their commitment to children's mental health. Their support enables us to grow the community's access to evidence-based assessment and intervention, advance innovative care models, and do more to meet the goals of our shared mission – supporting the mental health and well-being of the kids in our community.

How We Got Here

From a golf tournament to a Kansas City mental health funder

We started in 2006 with a golf tournament. Back then, the goal was raising money for laptops and supportive technology at Children's Mercy. The model worked, so we kept going.

Two decades and a lot of events later, our focus is on youth mental health: The Fore the Kids Foundation Emergency Mental Health Crisis Center, the Depression and Anxiety in Youth (DAY) Clinic, Children’s Mercy and Camber Mental Health Wellness Campus, and the work still ahead. Same partnerships. Same Kansas City. Bigger reach.
